Sonning
Sonning lies three miles northeast of Reading. The parish included the liberties of Earley and Woodley and Sandford, in Berkshire, and Eye and Dunsden, in Oxfordshire. The Rivers Thames and Loddon run through the parish, and it is on the main road from Reading to Maidenhead. Approximately a third of the land was permanent grass, slightly less than a third arable, and a small amount woodland.
