Remenham
The small hamlet of Remenham lies nine miles east of Reading and ten miles west of Maidenhead. It is in a valley adjoining the bank of the River Thames and on the road to Henley-upon-Thames, Oxfordshire. The parish included a scattered second hamlet called Remenham Hill. The soil is loam, with some clay on the hills. Less than half the land was arable.
